![]() ![]() And albeit dormant and incomplete for two million years it was still powering the markers with a signal which is how Dr. Afaik the b-moon in Tau Volantis was the only one in this part of the galaxy which is why it took so much work to find it. I think DS4 will have Isaac trying to keep the infestation from destroying earth and creating a new b-moon. Then again since humanity is now able to make artificial singularities you could always throw one at a b-moon and watch it implode.Īlso we don't know what defense capabilities the b-moons have, are they able to shockspace? given that they work as Von Neumann probes (eg: a b-moon makes markers by the billions which then spreads randomly until one lands on a planet with a civilization advanced enough to make new markers themselves and trigger a convergence event which makes a new b-moon, and so on) even at semi-relativistic speeds it would take millions of years for a marker to land on a planet, and if b-moons had a non-relativistic (shockspace) means of propulsion to move around then why use the markers? just shockspace into a planet and consume it/make another b-moon with it. It would be a pretty epic ending for DS4 is you (as Isaac) had to fly back to the remnants of the Sprawl, find the Ishimura, repair it and shockspace back to Earth orbit to start tearing chunks of the b-moons. I don't know if it was a visceral dev but somebody said the ending of the DLC could be just Isaac and Carver hallucinating again, but even without the brethren moons you got a marker outbreak on the (earth's)moon to deal with which odds are is spreading to earth.Īs for how to take them down I got some theories.
